The New York Knicks came out big this season as they brought out big names in the league like Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony. Even though the team is struggling in the midst of the season, they still cope up and finished at the number 7 spot in the Eastern Conference this season. Carmelo Anthony together with one time finals MVP Chauncey Billups had been traded to the Knicks by a trade before the trade deadline expires this season which the team has a big chance of winning the title this season. The team had really evolved into a much hard team to beat if healthy from being so weak in the past seasons. Now, with Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony in the front line of the team’s roster, the team is aiming to climb up to the 2nd round of playoffs which they must beat the Boston Celtics first.
The team had been great at the start of the season which is carried by their team captain, Amare Stoudemire who averages 25.3 points per game with 8.2 rebounds. While Carmelo Anthony faces many disturbance and many trade issues when he was way back in Denver which he says that he really wanted to play to the New York Knicks this season rather than playing any other team in the league. Anthony averages 25.6 points with 7.3 rebounds per game.
Stoudemire, Anthony and Billups being the Big 3 of the New York Knicks carries the team in every game which they scored more than half of the team’s points but also the other player’s effort really helps the team especially to their defensive strategies.
